Your mission
You will develop and maintain resilient, scalable, and secure network solutions that empower our mission to provide a sovereign cloud infrastructure for the public sector. In practice, this means you will ensure a dependable and highly available network architecture paired with exceptional monitoring capabilities. You will also design system architectures, automate operational workflows, and guarantee that our platform continuously runs at peak performance.
Your tasks
- Spearheading the design, architecture, and operation of high-security network infrastructures, including isolated air-gapped systems with a specialized focus on NVIDIA Mellanox technologies
- Collaborating closely with clients to engineer bespoke network configurations, often integrating seamlessly with their existing proprietary hardware stacks
- Configuring and fine-tuning sophisticated routing scenarios utilizing BGP, MPLS, and IPv6 within complex multi-tenant environments
- Developing and maintaining robust automation workflows via Ansible or Python to streamline updates, scaling efforts, and live hardware integrations
- Conducting deep-dive root cause analysis and troubleshooting while continuously enhancing monitoring protocols to guarantee maximum high availability
Requirements
- Extensive background in network engineering, ideally cultivated within an ISP or large scale data center environment
- Comprehensive expertise in data center networking, with a specific focus on Cumulus Linux and Juniper Junos
- A profound understanding of core networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, IPv6, and VXLAN/EVPN
- Strong command of the Linux command line ecosystem, complemented by practical experience in scripting and automation utilizing Bash or Python
- Hands on familiarity with configuration management platforms such as Ansible or Terraform is highly advantageous
- A highly structured approach to work, excellent documentation capabilities, and strong proficiency in both German and English
